As a sports fan with a fondness for swimming and springboard diving, I studied physical education in college and planned to graduate and become a university team swim coach. But side jobs in construction while I was in school, and the purchase and remodel of my own home at age 18, began luring me in another direction. So, when the opportunity presented itself, I applied and was accepted to the Carpenter's Apprentice Program, sponsored by the local Carpenter's Union.
I worked with the union by day and took classes at night, and, four years later, I went on to work with a local contractor. In a short time I was building homes and apartments on the side, and by 1989 I had gotten my general contractors license and started my own construction company.
Early on I specialized in apartments and town homes, and purchased an athletic club, Mid-Valley Athletic Club through a partner ship with Park Place Development, a real estate development firm owned by me and my brother Ed LeCocq, before transitioning into high-end custom home building -- a genre I felt best represented in my own personal and professional goals: to preserve and promote the art of quality living.
Today I specialize in high-end custom homes ranging in price from $1,000,000 to $5,000,000, in the Tucson area, including Mount Lemmon. Working with a team of the area's most skilled architects, designers, Realtors and other professionals, we produce some of the finest homes that not only have visual appeal, but that contribute to the well-being and balance of the lives of my clients. Through a carefully selected home situation that takes full advantage of Tucson's natural beauty, the rise and set of the sun, and the lot's natural landscaping features. I strive to create indoor and outdoor spaces that soothe, define, rejuvenate and create a sense of harmony that blend naturally into southern Arizona's colorful character. Building Green to help save our environment.
