When we got the idea to build a cabin on Mt. Lemmon, Al's name came to our attention as a builder who had experience in building on the mountain. We were familiar with his name as a custom home builder in Tucson with an excellent reputation, so we contacted him and asked him to show us some of his product on Mt. Lemmon and also plans from other cabins he had built. We could sense from the beginning that Al had the experience, professionalism, and temperament that made us comfortable since we had no idea of how to proceed. He skillfully guided us through the planning and permitting process and then presented us with a contract that he thoroughly explained to us in detail and patiently answered all of our questions until we were satisfied. Construction began quickly and we were impressed with the quality of the sub-contractors he selected to work on our project. As we quickly learned, however, the construction process is not a straight line and Al encouraged us to spend as much time on the site as we wanted and to interact with the subs as we saw fit. When we discovered things we didn’t understand, Al and the subs were very patient in answering our questions and also making changes where we saw fit without any hassle. The entire process was interactive and fun for us and we developed a lasting friendship and respect for Al as a result. As is normal, once the project was finished there were things that needed to be fixed, modified, changed, etc. and we have found Al to be very responsive in getting everything completed to our satisfaction and never making us feel abandoned. We would highly recommend Al and his staff to anyone considering a construction project.

Al LeCocq not only built our home in Tucson Country Club Estates but he also helped repair the defects from another builder in our previous home. Both of our building experiences with Al were not only painless but throughout the process the work was done by professional workers who cared about what they were building. When any questions arose Al was there to help and he always had a two word answer: "No problem." We finished on time and on budget. Al continues to be available to us for any questions. Would we recommend him to others? Absolutely! and we already have.

A.B. LeCocq has built two houses for me in Tucson. The first was built in 2002, and the second in 2008. In what is inevitably a challenging process for homeowners, Al LeCocq was very easy to work with for a number of reasons:
When completed, the owner has a high-quality house at a very fair price with a lot less stress than they might otherwise have expected.
